toolCare US International, LLC Announces Plans to Locate in Auburn
Auburn, Ala.
- City of Auburn officials received notification that toolCare
US International, LLC will locate its first US-based operation in Auburn
Technology Park North. toolCare
is a tool management service that provides customers with complete design-build
of new tooling from prototypes to production molds. The project is a joint
investment between the long-established United Kingdom based toolCare
UK and industry veterans in the US. The investment is expected to create 10 new
jobs over the next 2 years with an initial capital investment of $2.8 million.
"Servicing the fast-growing
manufacturing industry in this region, along with the exceptional quality of
Auburn as a business location and place to live made the decision to invest in
Auburn an easy one," stated John Chuplis, President of toolCare.
"We are already taking orders for our business, which we are currently
filling through our partners in Europe and Asia. Auburn will become our NAFTA
location in this global network."
toolCarewill serve a
variety of industries for their tooling needs, including plastic injection molds,
blow molding tools, die cast tooling, metal stamping tools as well as fixtures
and gages. The company can also perform engineering changes and tool
modifications. Additionally, it will offer complete maintenance and repair
programs for tools at their Auburn facility.
Mayor Bill Ham, Jr. commented, "We are
pleased to welcome toolCare
to our growing industrial family in Auburn. The fact that company officials had
the opportunity to locate their new facility in several other regions of the
country but ultimately chose Auburn was due in part to the City's investment in
workforce development initiatives. Programs such as the Industrial Systems
Technology Program at Auburn High School indicated to the company that the City
is committed to training the future workforce needed for this facility. We look
forward to seeing construction of toolCare’s
new facility in Auburn Technology Park North get underway."
Construction of toolCare’s new facility will begin in December of this year. Company officials are currently utilizing the Office in Transition at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce until their permanent facility is complete.
